Editor’s Note: In today’s videos, our friend and partner Jon Widmer, owner of the YouTube channel Garage Built Hondas, is gonna to install MaXpeedingRods traction bar for the 88-91 Civic CRX.
Essentially a traction bar makes the front end more rigid and corrects wheel hop when drag racing. Traction bars also provide more points of adjustment over stock suspension and cross member.
When choosing a traction bar, there are many variables to take into consideration. The single most important consideration is the design of the traction bar. The important elements of MaXpeedingRods traction bar design are:
- Made by high strength steel and durable Powder-Coated Finish
- This Competition/Traction Bar Kit is designed to increase the rigidity and stability of a vehicle’s front suspension.
- Each billet aluminum radius arm is equipped with a race grade heim/spherical joint allowing for an OEM fit that is adjustable to suit all vehicle setups.
- High-strength heims and radius arms reduce the unwanted movement that can cause changes in suspension geometry during high-speed cornering or launching.
Watch the video to get some real-world testing footage of the traction bar.
