As we know, there’s no real way to test the coilover without disassembling it completely. Fortunately, on @Bendaga’s Youtube channel, we can experience the Biohazard Honda Civic fitted with Maxpeedingrods Coilovers and racing from a first-person perspective. These shocks are not just ordinary components, but top-of-the-line products from Maxpeedingrods for the Honda Civic. They are precision-manufactured, offering a 24-point damping system to ensure an optimized driving experience.

Join @Bendaga and his brothers in their E36, MR2, WRX, R8, and other cars as they race at the autocross event in an exhilarating day of craziness. Let’s dive in and feel the excitement together!

Coilovers Installation
With wheels off, we started our installation process. Having to hit the old components with some PV blasts, we ensured a smooth removal process. For those unfamiliar, replacing coilovers is a bit like a mechanical puzzle. From measuring ride heights to adjusting the coilovers, it’s an intricate process. But, with some effort (and yes, a little sweat), we managed to fit them perfectly.

First Ride on Coilovers
And then came the moment of truth – the first ride. The Civic was noticeably lower, and though there were initial concerns about how it’d handle, it felt smooth. Well, mostly smooth. There were a few minor scrapes and bumps, but nothing major. As I mentioned earlier, we were working against time and perhaps in our haste, we went a tad too low. If we immediately adjust to the appropriate height after installation, our first ride would be a 100% smooth experience.

Autocross Adventure
But there was no turning back now, as it was time to hit the Evergreen Speedway for some autocross action. Our decked out Civic was ready to take on the challenge. Racing it was an exhilarating experience. Each turn and acceleration provided feedback on the coilovers’ performance. We even did some adjustments on-the-go, fine-tuning them for the track.

During this adventure, there was an unforgettable pit stop – a BBQ break. Nothing beats the combination of cars, speed, and a good old-fashioned BBQ.

One notable event was our gas situation. In a nail-biting moment, we ran extremely low on gas while racing. Miraculously, the Honda Civic pushed through, showcasing its resilience.

Racing in an Audi R8 Spyder
But the day wasn’t over. Our friend Cy gave us an opportunity to test drive his Audi R8 Spyder. It’s one thing to bring an old Civic back to life, but jumping into a modern sports car is another experience altogether. The R8 was a beast, its power and precision evident in every rev.

This journey with the 1997 Honda Civic Hatchback was truly memorable. From unboxing new coilovers to racing on the tracks, it was a testament to how a forgotten vehicle can be brought.
