The Honda CR-X, originally launched as the Honda Ballade Sports CR-X in Japan, is a front-wheel-drive sport compact car manufactured by Honda between 1983 and 1991. 1988 is the first year of the second generation CRX. Now we have our MaXpeedingRods Coilovers, adjustable in rebound damping, available for the 88 Honda CRX.
This video is kindly shared by the YouTuber Garage Built Hondas, he has installed a set of MaXpeedingRods 24 ways adjustable coilover on his 88 Honda CRX.
For him, the reason for choosing our coilover was simple because:” those coilovers come with an 8k front and a 5k rear spring rate for me, that’s a little too soft. I feel like the car could benefit from a little bit stiffer spring rate all around, there’s a decent amount of body roll. I think it could help out being such a light chassis and being a little bit stiffer in terms of the rebound for the shocks itself, so I reached out to MaXpeedingRods asked them if they made heavier springs and they do and they make them separately.”
MaXpeedingRods Coilover has the adjustable ride height, the adjustable pre-load spring tension and the 24 levels of adjustable damper —— those allows you dispose the ability to perfectly dial in your coilovers system. You can enjoy comfortable riding experience in all road conditions. For the YouTuber Garage Built Hondas, his comments on this new suspension system were:” I might just lower the front a little more if the rear ends up sitting like that after taking it for a drive. i drove it about 15 miles, feels pretty solid granted. I haven’t driven the car in a while, so maybe it’s just that suspension feels pretty stiff but it feels good. I’m a fan of that in a car like this I don’t like a little soft floaty feeling.”
