In the world of motorsports, the ability to master your nerves can mean the difference between victory and defeat. This is especially true in the high-octane world of drift racing, where drivers push their machines to their limits while trying to maintain an aggressive driving style.
Such was the challenge facing @MikeLake’s team at the Keep It Reet Battle Royale Round 2 of the 2023 season. They were piloting a turbocharged m52 BMW E36 that they had built from the ground up in just six short weeks. Though the car had performed flawlessly so far, the team was still struggling with some front-steering issues that were throwing off the car’s balance.
To help address this issue, they turned to their friend Marcus McCarthy, a master of alignment who was known for his ability to pinpoint and rectify subtle steering issues. They hoped that he could help dial in the perfect alignment setup that they needed in order to achieve optimal performance on the track.
Before heading over to see Marcus, the team received some exciting news: they had received a set of brand new coilovers from their friends at MaXpeedingRods. These T7 coilovers were a major upgrade from what they had been using before, and they were eager to see how they would perform on the track. These Coilovers upgrade performance without sacrificing driving comfort. Compared to the T6 series it can be used for street performance and junior track use and Integrated pillow ball and deep groove ball bearing mount, enable to lower the vehicle more.
After installing the new coilovers, the team took the car out for a spin, and they were immediately impressed by how responsive the car felt. The ride was smooth and stable, and the car seemed to hug the corners even tighter than before.
At the competition, the team found themselves facing off against some fierce competitors, but they kept their nerves in check and stayed focused on the task at hand. They relied on their years of experience and their finely-tuned machine to guide them through the challenging course.
Though they didn’t come out on top in the end, the team took pride in the fact that they had given it their all and had pushed their car to its limit. And with the help of their new MaXpeedingRods T7 coilovers, they knew that they had what it took to go even further in the next round of competition.
In the world of drift racing, every little advantage counts, and the team at Keep It Reet knew that they had just gained a major one with their new coilovers. They would continue to tweak and refine their machine in the weeks to come, confident that they were on the cusp of something truly great.
