Upgraded GT3076 Sport-Performance Turbo Tuning Test on a Subaru STI

When people talk about race cars or high-performance sports cars, the topic of turbochargers usually comes up. Turbochargers also appear on large diesel engines. A turbo can significantly boost an engine’s horsepower without significantly increasing its weight, which is the huge benefit that makes turbos so popular!

With 20 years of experience precipitation, support of professional technical team and real experience of 3 million users, MaXpeedingRods are recommitted to building high performance Turbo.

MaXpeedingRods Universal GT3076 sport-performance turbo for 2.0L-3.0L engine

Take the first look on this universal GT3076 sport-performance turbo.

With an impressive spec including a nickel alloy turbine housing, low inertia in tern also for reduced lag and a billet compressor wheel, as you’d expect. The compressor inlet is 55mm and the turbine output is 76.1mm. It offers up to 3.0bar and the potential for 580-600bhp for engines between 2 and 3-litres.

How does this turbo perform? Our professional mechanic tuned this turbo on Subaru and the dyno results were clear at a glance.

Test Vehicle: SUBARU STI GRB 2.5L

The Turbo Boost Controller of Test Vehicle: HKS EVC6
The Specification of Test Vehicle: CP 99.75MM Piston, MaXpeedingRods connecting rods with ARP Ll 9 bolts, ACL bearing, BRIANCROWER 272 Camshaft, IDI 050 Fuel injector, EMTRON KV8 ECU.

Dyno Report

The output of the engine 588PS/5682rpm & 893Nm/4157rpm.
The maximum constant pressure of this turbo is around 2.0BAR at 4200 rpm.

The output of the engine 555PS/5780rpm & 814Nm/4142rpm.
The maximum constant boost of this turbo is around 1.6BAR at 3900rpm.

The output of the engine is 483PS/5944rpm&682Nm/4148rpm.
The maximum constant boost of this turbo is around 1.1-1.2BAR at 3750 rpm.

When this turbocharger is equipped with the engine of larger displacement or more cylinders, greater horsepower and torque can be generated. The turbo reaction time and the time to the target boost is lower, which can handle more than 3.0BAR(engine enhancement and ECU tuning is required).
